Goodwill Receives EITC Contribution from MASSolutionsFebruary 7, 2018, Press Release
JOHNSTOWN, PA, February 7, 2018—Goodwill of the Southern Alleghenies received a $4,000 charitable contribution from Pittsburgh-based MASSolutions through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s (DCED’s) Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. Goodwill is a state-approved Educational Improvement Organization under the program, qualifying the organization to receive contributions from businesses who apply to reduce their state tax liability.
Contributions to Goodwill through the DCED’s EITC Program enable public schools to systematically choose Goodwill’s Innovative Educational Programs that are not feasible through schools’ current budgets.
Goodwill will apply MASSolutions’ contribution to support programs designed to help prepare youth for the workforce through a variety of services including career exploration, career development, job support services, and employability skills training.
“We sincerely thank MASSolutions for their generous contribution, which will support programs that enable students to achieve their fullest vocational potential, obtain and retain employment, and become contributing members of the community,” stated Bradley R. Burger, Goodwill’s President and CEO.
