Goodwill’s Julie Hassan Earns Training Certification
July 1, 2010, Press ReleaseJOHNSTOWN, PA, July 1, 2010—Julie Hassan, recruitment and training coordinator for Goodwill of the Southern Alleghenies, completed a six-month Management Development Program (MDP) Train-the-Trainer (T3) program offered by Goodwill Industries International (GII). The program guides training professionals to develop and tailor a local program through use of an instructor guide, student workbook, exercises, presentations, assessments, and evaluation.
To earn MDP T3 certification, each student must complete five courses and all homework assignments, and conduct a short “teach back.” To date, 40 staff members from Goodwill member agencies throughout the United States hold the certification. GII awarded the certifications in June 2010.
Hassan, along with 24 other professionals who completed this certification offering, was featured in the June 16, 2010 issue
of GII’s, an internal publication for Goodwill member agencies.
As a recruitment and training coordinator for Goodwill, Hassan is responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering training programs to the organization as well as recruiting employees for the company’s 18 locations within a six-county region.
