Goodwill and Girl Scouts Team-Up on Project through February 28
February 9, 2018, Press ReleaseJohnstown, PA, February 9, 2018—Goodwill of the Southern Alleghenies has teamed up with Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania (GSWPA) for the “Give A Little Love” Donation Drive and Community Service Project happening now through February 28. Girl Scouts will be collecting gently used items for donation to Goodwill throughout counties in GSWPA’s and Goodwill’s mutual service territory of Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Indiana, Somerset, and a portion of Westmoreland.
Donations will be sold in Goodwill’s 10 retail stores to benefit Goodwill’s many services and programs for people with barriers and disadvantages to obtaining employment.
Because this is a community service project, Girl Scouts have the opportunity to earn a Goodwill “Give A Little Love” service patch in recognition of their commitment to their community. The top two girls who collect the most qualifying donation bags will each be awarded her 2018 Girl Scout resident camp paid, courtesy of Goodwill.
Girls can obtain their “Give A Little Love” participation toolkit and register in several ways—through their troop leaders; or by contacting Chuck Rusnak, Goodwill of the Southern Alleghenies at (814) 470-9270 and crusnak@gogoodwill.org; or by downloading the toolkit at www.gogoodwill.org/kit
